What is Plantar Fasciitis?

Plantar Fasciitis is the inflammation of the plantar fascia of the foot.  The plantar fascia is connective tissue that connects the calcaneal tubercle to the forefoot with five slips directed to each toe respectively.  The symptoms of plantar fasciitis can include heel pain, pain in the sole of the foot, burning or tearing sensation in the foot and it can happen one or both -feet.  Most people who suffer from plantar fasciitis state that the pain is the worst in the morning, or when they get out of bed.

Can Chiropractic Help Me with My Foot Pain?

It all depends on what is causing it.  Plantar Fasciitis can be caused by a number of things, and even worse it can be due to a combination of these things. Repetitive stress from running, poor joint alignment in the foot, trauma to the foot and even poor fitting shoes can lead to plantar fasciitis.  Depending on the cause, a chiropractor may be able to help you get the relief you are looking for.
